chapter 2

“hey david…how are you doing? just touched down at the island airport here in Hong Kong. It was really a dreadful flight, not about the danger of the flight but just sitting there and imagining leaving all of you back there into a new life wasn’t easy. Bet you’re still loitering around that chicken rice store sipping all the soup down your throat and leaving none for me! And oh ya, i forgot to mention that the weather here is extremely hot and there’re so many people. Well, gtg first to claim my luggages. Mum’s looking at me in disapproval..guess i should stop here. Missing you all loads. keep in touch.”

“Hey Sharon,

it’s good to hear from you again. And hey, how do you know i’ll be here? Haha..it’s our tuesday chicken rice day eh? I still remember you introducing that place to me once in the evening before the movie. I’m sure you’ll get used to it there well.

p/s: why did you have to leave on your birthday? We could have so much fun. Happy birthday btw…”

“You! You sneaky little rat! How did you manage to sneak that present into my luggage without me noticing? But anyways..thanks, it was really sweet of you. I’m lovin it. It’s the thought that counts. Oh my, how much did you spend on that? i’m feeling bad now. Btw, keep my letters alright? Don’t lose them. If not, you won’t see the light of day ever again! WooT~”

“Haha! it wasn’t that hard actually…your brother gave me a hand. Was afraid that you might discover it during your last minute packing that day. But it was just right on plan that you did not see anything. Phew~ that would really spoil the game. Hah! I’m glad you like it. Was really brainstorming into what kind of gift I should give you. Your letters will be kept really well by me..don’t worry.. And i would expect the same from you?”

And it was so…Their messages ceased after a while..putting them into a halt of silence for almost 2 years. Wonder why? Nobody knows…
